Relaxing in the Spa Garden...ahhhh

Although these are not my feet, it's where my soul goes every day to have a little down time...just like you, our guests can do at our new Spa Garden! It's taken a while here at the El Morocco Inn & Spa-to get this garden in "good enough" shape to present it for your use, but hey, better late than never, right? So now, it really does have an authentic Moroccan Tent (perfect for massages and spa treatments) Croquet, Giant Chess, and even Bocce Ball-which isn't exactly Moroccan, but who cares? Lounge in the hammocks and have a great afternoon snooze, then come and get into the healing mineral water swimming pool and Jacuzzi spa. We're finding a lot of guests get into the Far Infrared Sauna, and then take a dip in the warm mineral waters and then...take a long nap out there in that Spa Garden. Wanna get away from it all and not have to go that far??? Join us! We'd love to have you and we have a saying around here..."Your wish is our command"!

New Eco-friendly Robes! New Ultra Luxurious Sheets! Another Fireplace!

Hey One and All!

We've finally gotten our new bathrobes in...the ones I've been talking about for almost a year now! They look like a long "Smoking jacket" that Humphrey Bogart would wear in the movie we are always running on our Big screen TV in the Kasbah Library....Casablanca- They have a seersucker striped shell with a Bamboo (how green can we get?) lining! PERFECT for the desert, not too hot - not too cold! Guests love 'em and you can purchase them in our "souk" gift shop for $129 each with our logo-pretty fun, eh?

Also, we've just purchased fantastic new linens for all of those "Dream Deeply" beds you love. The thread count (are you ready for this?) is 52,000 microfiber. You read that right...52,000!!! Feels like you're sleeping on a cloud-no kidding! Hey, why not have the best sheets money can buy? We are small enough, and honestly, I saved up for those beauties! Come on over and enjoy the best nights sleep you'll have in a long, long time!

Oh, and one more thing...I was swimming one night in the pool (don't tell anyone!) and thought "wouldn't it be great to have another fireplace at this end?" It's a little decadent, but it provides another great place to gather with friends, or cuddle. There's nothing like swimming in these healing waters in the middle of the night and popping up to see that Moroccan fireplace or the firehearth at the other end!

All in all, we are always working towards providing you with the best "getaway" in the world! Hope to see you real soon...

Girlfriends Weekend a Big Success!

Ruth and her gal pals had a great time during their recent stay at the El Morocco Inn & Spa.

They took all the rooms and had pretty much every treatment we offer...relaxing in the hot mineral pools and having happy hour "Morocco-tini's" each night at the Hookah Bar!

You too, can rent the whole place for a weekend getaway for your friends...give us a call to find out all about it!

Thanks Ruth, and thanks too, to all the other women who gathered for this fun weekend!

Falling Markets mean Rising Deals!

So, raise your hands if you aren't the least bit nervous about the status of the stock market...

Now, those of you who didn't raise your hands, use them to drive over here! We've created some really amazing, often requested spa packages which, because they are combined with the typical 2 night stay, represent a savings of between $100 to $140!

I mean, come on...it's an inn and we love it, but it's time to offer up some great deals and give everybody a break...so take a peek through our new pages under "Spa" (look at the wide range of spa packages) and "Add-Ons" for some tension loosening, deeply relaxing moments during your next getaway!

Can't wait to see you!

The El Morocco Inn & Spa shares one of it's secrets

Welcome one and all...to our first posting for our new website and blog at the El Morocco Inn & Spa!

Let's get right down to business...how about that famous secret "Morocco-tini" recipe everyone keeps asking about? Alrighty then, get those Martini shakers ready 'cause this fun drink is "surprisingly light and refreshing" (honest quotes from our guest during our complimentary happy hour!) and easy to prepare.

1 part Sake (No need to chill!)
1 part Orange juice
1 part Cranberry juice
A dash of Sweet Vermouth
Lemon Seltzer (You can always use a can of Squirt since it's mostly for fizz and a hint of lemon!)

1.) Throw 'em all together in that shiny Martini shaker
2.) Shake gently, Moroccan style (hey, the seltzer may blow the top off so be careful!)
3.) Serve in sugared Martini glasses over ice.
4.) Toast your creation with the famous line from Casablanca..."Here's looking at you, kid!"
